Bruno Palma

Life drawing & animation

“My interest in drawing and painting was sparked early, on a memorable afternoon when a neighbour showed me a book about the Dutch painter Van Gogh.”

About Bruno

Bruno grew up among the whitewashed streets of Benafim, in Algarve, where a childhood afternoon with a book about Van Gogh set his path in drawing. He moved to Ireland in 2004 to study animation, then spent fifteen years in the industry as an art director and background artist for RTÉ, BBC, and Disney XD. Today his daily practice is gesture and life drawing, working from the live model to sharpen observation and presence.
